Power. Precision. Provenance.

The Manticore continues the Marcos lineage of lightweight, aerodynamically resolved sports cars (first established by Frank Costin's aircraft-derived thinking in 1959) and brings it into a new era.

Engineered by a team drawn from Rolls-Royce, Bentley and Formula One, the Manticore prototype is designed to set a new benchmark for the British supercar. Every component is interrogated for its contribution to weight, balance and driver feel.

This is not a styling exercise wrapped around someone else's platform. The Manticore is engineered from the wheels out: a clean-sheet mid-engined chassis, built in Milford Haven, and unmistakably Marcos in character.

Three Things That Matter

The Manticore is built around a small set of non-negotiable engineering convictions, the same convictions that defined every Marcos before it.

01 / Weight

Light, By Design

From Costin's 1959 plywood monocoque to today's composite tub, every Marcos has been engineered to be lighter than its rivals. The Manticore is no exception: a target kerb weight of around 1,250 kg makes it dramatically lighter than the supercars it competes with.

02 / Layout

Mid-Engine, Rear Drive

Engine behind the driver, drive to the rear wheels. The layout proven by sixty years of motorsport, executed with a chassis designed specifically for it, not adapted from anything else.

03 / Provenance

British, End To End

Designed, engineered, and built in the United Kingdom. The Manticore is assembled in Milford Haven, Wales (the new home of Marcos Cars) with British suppliers and a British engineering team led by veterans of Rolls-Royce, Bentley, and Formula One.
